She made her first theatrical film appearance as Lily Desange in the 2013 supernatural horror film Mama and this performance got her nominated for a Young Artist Award in the “Best Supporting Young Actress in a Feature Film” category. Isabelle Nélisse co-starred in the film alongside Jessica Chastain, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Megan Charpentier, Daniel Kash, and Javier Botet.

She brought to life the character of Simone, the owner’s daughter, in the 2013 drama film Whitewash, starring Thomas Haden Church.
